Therapist
Angela Tran (she/her)
Hon. B.Sc. (Human Behavioural Biology, Psychology), M.S.W., R.S.W.
Life often finds a way to present challenges to us and we sometimes find ourselves in an uphill battle trying to navigate our thoughts, feelings, relationships and/or situations. After her own lived experiences with post-partum anxiety and depression while navigating her role as a new mom, Angela knows both how lonely these moments can become and how mobilizing both personal and professional supports to get through these times can result in meaningful personal growth.

Angela is passionate about supporting people to navigate life’s challenges, create balance, and find inner peace and self-compassion along the way. She also firmly believes that instilling hope and fostering resiliency is integral to the process. Angela is compassionate, empathic, and takes a client-centered, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive approach in her sessions.

She is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field in various settings and roles, where she has provided therapy and counselling to. Currently, she serves as a Mental Health Consultant for the Ontario Autism Program’s Urgent Response Services in York Region/Simcoe County. She has also shared her passion for therapy and counselling with students in her role as Professor and College Field Supervisor at Centennial College in Scarborough.

Angela holds an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Behavioural Biology and Psychology, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto. She has additional training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Unified Protocol (UP), Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). She draws on elements from these different modalities to meet each person's individual needs in her sessions.

Tya-Elizabeth Muschett (she/her)
Hon. B.A. (Psychology, Child & Family Studies), M.S.W., R.S.W.
Tya-Elizabeth’s friendly, outgoing, and warm approach, aids in naturally building trust and connection within the therapeutic relationship. She works from the belief that you are the expert in your own life, and therapy is there to support you on your personal journey. Utilizing evidence-based approaches and a non-judgmental stance, Tya-Elizabeth works with her clients to create a safe environment, in which to collaboratively work towards their personal goals.

Tya-Elizabeth is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers, and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She has over 10 years of clinical and community experience working with children, youth, and caregivers to help increase their general wellbeing. She gently supports clients in taking next step, honours and values the vulnerability in not knowing what to do next and she is there to guide clients in overcoming that feeling.

Tya-Elizabeth has lived experiences of ADHD, learning disabilities, and racialized trauma. She is passionate about reducing the stigma of mental health, and utilizes both her lived experiences and educational background, to support and empower her clients.
Tya-Elizabeth holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Psychology, as well as Child and Family Studies from the University of Guelph. She has also completed a Master’s degree in Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University. She has additional training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, Unified Protocol (UP), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). She will collaboratively work with you to determine the best treatment option.
Tya-Elizabeth loves animals, gardening, sunflowers, and roller skating. She personally practices mindfulness daily, and enjoys hikes and waterfront walks with her dog. She practices and promotes self-care.
