CERTIFIED TO HELP.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME.

WHY THERAPY
Life will throw challenges your way and sometimes we have difficulties coping with them. Perhaps you are struggling to balance setting boundaries while maintaining relationships with others. Perhaps there has been a recent significant change that is stirring up strong feelings that are difficult to manage. Perhaps you are worried about your future or the future of a loved one, and unsure of how to proceed. These moments can be difficult or painful. While painful experiences in life are inevitable, suffering as a result of these experiences is not. Through a process of guided self-discovery, your therapist will help you build insight into your distress, reflect on what it means to live a life worth living, and work towards achieving this life.
CHILD & ADOLESCENT
Childhood and adolescence can be full of stressors, including but not limited to bullying, academic challenges, relationships, low self-esteem/self-confidence, anxiety, depression, and worries about the future. These stressors are at times exacerbated by learning, intellectual, social, physical, or medical challenges. At Tran & Muschett, we support children and adolescents in enhancing their abilities to regulate their emotions/behaviours, overcoming barriers and problem-solve, increasing their self-esteem, managing their mood, and finding a meaningful direction for the future.
YOUNG ADULTHOOD
The world is your oyster - life can be full of excitement as you embark on your journey into adulthood. And yet, your adolescent days aren't that far behind and the challenges from that period may still linger. You may still struggle with self-esteem/self-confidence, mood difficulties, relationship difficulties, and knowing what you want for yourself and your future. While you are still trying to find your footing, young adulthood is also a time where you might feel pressured to make life changing decisions. At Tran & Muschett, we can help you navigate this time, reflect on what is important to you, identify a goal, and work towards achieving it.
PARENTING
Parenting involves navigating changes at different stages and this challenge can sometimes lead to anxiety, a sense of uncertainty, burnout, and stress. The perinatal/post-partum stage can be a challenging time as parents learn about their new babies' needs while lacking sleep and finding ways to balance new routines and family dynamics. As our children move through toddlerhood, childhood, and adolescence, it can be stressful for parents to determine what is "normal" and "problem" behaviour for the child's given age, while trying to balance permissiveness with strictness and independence with dependence. For parents with children who have learning, intellectual, social, physical, or medical challenges, the parenting journey presents a different set of challenges as you worry about your child's future. At Tran & Muschett, we support parents in navigating these ups and downs, managing stressors, and parenting with confidence as you improve your relationship with your child(ren).

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy – the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” - Brené Brown
